What you see, what they see

Your side

You press start. The browser — not us — asks for camera and microphone. Until you allow it, nothing is sent anywhere.

Your own preview appears first, in the small corner tile, so you can see yourself before anyone else does.

A stranger fills the large frame. Skip and Report sit together on the call screen, both reachable without leaving it.

Press Skip whenever you want. You are not asked to explain, and the search for the next person starts immediately.
Their side
- 01
They see your camera feed and hear your microphone, for as long as the call lasts.
- 02
They do not see a name, an email or a profile, because you never created one.
- 03
When you skip, their screen returns to searching. They are not told who left or why.
- 04
If you block someone, that pairing does not come back — they simply get matched with somebody else.
Where coins go, and where they don't
Starting a chat is not something you buy. Here is what each mode tells you before you match.

If something goes wrong
The four things that actually go wrong, and what to do about each.
It will not connect
Reload and press start again. On a restricted office or campus network, a different network usually fixes it.
The browser blocked the camera
Open this site's permissions from your address bar and set the camera to Allow, then reload. If another app is holding the camera, close it first.
Someone made you uncomfortable
Report and Block are both on the call screen. Blocking stops that pairing coming back; reporting sends it to moderation.
Who reads the reports
Moderation runs around the clock. A report goes into the queue the moment you send it — you do not need to stay on the page.
